A Trio of 89th Birthday Parties

3rd May 2020 |

My grateful thanks to all those of you who took the time to wish me a happy birthday on Facebook and Twitter. Since coming to France I have had three wonderful birthday parties. We filled a neighbour’s garden with people and the delicious aroma of chicken and sausage barbecued by yours truly,

Here’s one of them:

Here’s another:

This year there were four of us standing round a table, all five feet away from each other, drinking champagne. It didn’t seem worth a picture. It’s a different time. But the champagne was excellent.

I hope next year, if I get to ninety, we can get back to doing things properly again. Bring on the vaccine.

I’ve no new chapters to offer you yet, but the autobiography is on-going. I just needed to take some time out for other things. But I have switched around the chapters on the website, so you can look at some them again if you care to.

I wish you all a happy end to the current difficulties and lovely summer. I was hoping to be in Flagstaff in May. Now there’s talk of it in July, but I’m not sure whether I’ll be able to go. Same for the next one in Colorado in August. I’ll keep you informed.

Cheers to all,
Ted
